The signing-up period has started for the Boat Fishing Challenge competition organized by hartapescar.ro, the Romanian fishermen’s Google Map. Currently at its third edition, the big fish challenge will take place on September 12 in a wild area close to the Mocanu Island, in the vicinity of Giurgiu.
Boat Fishing Challenge – extreme fishing in the Danube
Fishing in the wild waters of the Danube is the extreme challenge for those who practice this hobby in Romania. The most important fishing competition on the Danube is organized in Giurgiu by the team that also developed the hartapescar.ro website. 15 teams are expected to sign up for this year’s competition, willing to prove their skills when it comes to fishing in wild waters.
The best Danube fishermen will be designated at the end of the competition, and the winners will receive prizes and trophies for the biggest quantity of fish captured and for the biggest fish captured.
The value of the prizes totals EUR 2,500 and the prizes are offered with the support of the competition’s partners: San Giorgio Nautical Club, Aventuria.ro, HotelWels, Casa Cintre Salcii, Bari in bagaje, Colours Expert Print, TuristRomania.ro, Marina Tulcea, Helpic and Baboieru.com.
The signing-up period expires on August 31, the competition being open to all fishermen that have motorboats. The details of the event and the signing-up form can be found on www.hartapescar.ro.
By organizing the Boat Fishing Challenge, Hartapescar.ro plans to promote both motorboat fishing on the Danube and the “Catch & Release” style in the wild waters of our country.
