Two companies that have recently organised a Robbie Williams concert in Bucharest have been fined 10,000 lei by Romania’s National Consumer Protection Authority (ANPC) for unfair behaviour in relation to customers, as they failed to set up enough food and beverage outlets for the event.
In a press statement released on Tuesday, ANPC reports that nearly 300 consumer complaints were submitted, July 19-23, over the July 17 Robbie Williams concert in Bucharest.
The main complaint was they had to wait in line for at least 45 minutes to buy refreshments after they previously had to queue to feed money to a card.
In a press statement last week, ANPC said the concertgoers at the Robbie Williams concert were dissatisfied with having to wait in long lines to get refreshments, in some instances for more than 90 minutes, as well as the paucity of such outlets. Other complaints regarded the deficit of servicing staff at the venue, inefficiency of the existing such staff, the absence of trash bins and the impossibility of medical staff to reach people suffering from heat stroke or dehydration.
