Fertilizer distributor Redoxim sold to Origin Enterprises for 35m euros

One of the leading fertilizers distributors in Romania, Redoxim, will be taken over by the Irish group Origin Enterprises, under a transaction of 35 million euros, BDO Romania, the auditing company that coordinated the sale announced on Thursday.
According to the cited source, the sale of the company to Origin Enterprises entailed the takeover of the entire capital held equally by the six Redoxim partners, under a complex negotiation process.
In 2014, Redoxim’s revenues and profit amounted to 238.3 million lei (53.6 million euros) and 24.7 million lei (5.6 million euros) respectively. The company has 190 employees and some 2,000 customers served through a distribution network of 55 retail units.
Origin Enterprises, which is backed by a Swiss food company and a fund managing assets of 30 billion dollars, currently has operations in the United Kingdom, Poland and Ukraine
