Bucharest Metropolitan Library hosts workshops, conferences centered on reading

The subsidiaries of the Bucharest Metropolitan Library will host next week a series of workshops, exhibitions and other related events centered on reading.

On Monday the Nichita Stanescu branch will host a creative writing workshop and the Liviu Rebreanu subsidiary will exhibit old postcards from the collections of the Bucharest Digital Library (www.digibuc.ro).

On Tuesday, starting with 5pm, the Mihail Sadoveanu subsidiary will host an exhibition by young painter Alara Suzan Deniz, titled “A ten year-old paint brush”. On Tuesday, in the same location, philosophy lovers are invited to a conference tackling the concept on ethics as seen by Plato, Aristotle and Buddha.

On Thursday, starting with 7 pm the public is expected to join the organizers in The Reading Garden at the Mihail Sadoveanu headquarters.

On Friday, the Otilia Cazimir branch will host a theatre workshop.

Entry to all events hosted by the Bucharest Metropolitan Library is free of charge. Participants can register via e-mail, phone or via the library’s official Facebook page.
