Cluj-Napoca mayor joins 60,000 crowd at Avicii concert during UNTOLD Festival

The audience at DJ Avicii’s concert exceeded 60,000 on Friday night, the second of the UNTOLD Festival in Cluj-Napoca.

Emil Boc, the mayor of this central Transylvania city, was among the fans, alongside his whole family; he says he first heard about the artist from his teenage daughters. Now he uses one of Avicii’s tracks as ringtone for his mobile phone.

Avicii (stage name of Swede Tim Bergling) is one of the most popular artists at UNTOLD, alongside David Guetta and Armin van Buuren.

The festival, continuing until Sunday, is the main event under the Cluj-Napoca European Youth Capital 2015 project.

“The atmosphere was extraordinary, and I think one can only feel fantastic among so many thousands of young people who transmit so much positive energy and optimism,” Boc said, according to Agerpres.
