Prince of Wales Foundation offers five scholarships for restoration course, in Viscri and Bunesti

The Prince of Wales Foundation offers five scholarships for one of its restoration courses which will take place in Viscri and Bunesti (Brasov County) in the period August 31- September 4, informs the institution’s Facebook page.

The programme of the course includes presentations about traditional tools and materials, structural repairs in buildings with historic value, preparation technics for lime mortars, plastering techniques and stonemasonry.

Henry Rumbold will be teaching this course, a British specialist in restoration, with an over 50-year experience in the heritage area. Romanian translation will be provided.Henry-Rumbold

The course is mainly devoted to those who want to work in the area of restoration or historic building maintenance.

Participants get a complete set of tools, protection equipment and a certificate from the Prince of Wales Foundation.

The course is free, with the transportation from Viscri to Bunesti also provided, if necessary. Moreover, it includes the accommodation at the Fundation’s headquarters in Viscri, plus three meals a day.
