The 8th edition of the independent theatre festival Undercloud will bring, from August 22 to 31, as many as 33 plays, book launches, conferences and workshops.
According to a Monday’s release for Agerpres, the events will be held, for ten days, at the Bucharest-based National Museum of Romanian Peasant.
Among the artists who will be present at the 2015 Undercloud are Oana Pellea, Matei Visniec, Sanda Manu, Florin Piersic Jr., Marian Ralea, Marius Manole, Claudiu Bleont, Vlad Zamfirescu, Gigi Ifrim and Serban Pavlu.
Among the events of this year’s edition there is a workshop-dialogue for young artists, hosted by Professor Sanda Manu.
The 8th edition of the Undercloud Festival will be held under the aegis of the programme “European EFFE 2015-2016 Europe for Festivals,” a major international certificate awarded by the European Commission and the European Festivals Association.
Undercloud is the only international festival of independent theatre in Romania to have received this distinction, its organizers inform.
