ANM issues Code Yellow for heavy showers in 4 counties in south-east until Friday at noon

The National Weather Administration (ANM) on Thursday issued a Code Yellow warning for heavy showers, valid in four counties in the south-east of Romania, until Friday at noon.
According to meteorologists, Aug 20, 14:00hrs – Aug 21, 12:00hrs, there should be rain temporarily in most parts of Romania, and in Muntenia, Dobruja, as well as in the Southern and Western Carpathians, with the rain water quantities expected to locally exceed 25 litres per square metre.
The counties of Teleorman, Giurgiu, Calarasi and Constanta will be under Code Yellow, mostly with showers forecast here, which will temporarily have a torrential nature and the precipitation will locally amount to over 40-50 litres per square metre.
ANM points out that the weather will keep cold for this period, and in the south-east of the country the wind will record temporary intensifications, with a gust speed of 50-55 km/h.
