Romanian farmers ask rd 87 M euros of European funds for Rural Development programme 2014-2020

The number of the projects submitted nationally on one segment of the measures with the new National Rural Development Programme (PNDR) 2014-2020 has reached 1,215, and they worth almost 87 million euros, according to data sent to AGERPRES by the Agency for Rural Investments Funding (AFIR).

So, for investments in agricultural exploitations were submitted 104 projects worth 44,048,398 euros, while for support to the young farmers there are 901 applications worth 38,330,000 euros.

According to AFIR data, another sub-measure has received 30 applications of 1,720,000 euros, with support for setting up non-agricultural activities in the rural areas.

Likewise, for the development of exploitations and enterprises, two applications worth 395,460 euros were tabled.

For the sub-measure on the training support for the local development strategies’ drafting were submitted 178 applications worth 2,449,933.37 euros.

The new PNDR 2014-2020, dedicated to agriculture’s development includes 14 financing measures and total funds worth 9.363 billion euros, of which over 8 billion euros are in European funds, and 1.347 billion euros national contribution
