Banffy Castle Days under BAROCK aegis

The 14th edition of BAROCK – The Days of the Banffy Castle, an event organized by the Transylvania Trust Foundation and the Union of Hungarian Boy Scouts in Romania (UCMR), will take place at Bontida on August 29-30.
For the 14th consecutive year, the Banffy Castle will once again become the epicenter of artistic and cultural-educational activity, as part of the celebrations dedicated to it.
The organizers of this year’s edition have prepared an extremely varied program that harmoniously combines the already traditional activities: traditional handicrafts workshops (masonry, pottery, sewing, painting, bead-making etc.), painting and photography exhibitions, concerts, theatre plays and film screenings, horse riding shows and children’s games, book fairs, antique fairs and pet adoption fairs, wine tasting events. Guided tours of the castle (in Hungarian and Romanian) will also be offered.
The bands that will offer the musical backdrop of this edition’s afternoons and evenings will be The Lemon Bucket Orchestra, Travka, Alexandrina, Koszika and the Hotshots, The Best of Me, Bagossy Brothers Company, Peterfy Bori & The Love Band, The Beatalls: The Abbey Road Show (a tribute to The Beatles).
Barock – The Days of the Banffy Castle is a cultural event that has at its centre a historical heritage site and that offers the community the opportunity to understand and to enjoy a historical building.
