Summer ends with heat wave

The weather will continue to be hot on the last day of summer and on the first day of autumn and will cool off starting on Thursday, according to the National Meteorological Administration. Thus, the Satu Mare, Bihor, Arad, Timis, Caras-Severin, Mehedinti, Botosani, Iasi, Bacau and Vaslui counties will register highs of 37-38 degrees Celsius and the humidity-temperature index will surpass the critical threshold of 80 units, particularly in low-lying areas and on plateaus. The heat wave will last until Wednesday evening when clouds will appear, temperatures will drop slightly and precipitations will start to be registered, first in western, central and northern regions and then in the rest of the country during the weekend.
