According to National Trade Registry Office (ONRC) data, in July the number of foreign-capital companies whose registration was accepted stood at 503, compared to 507 the month before. Nevertheless, the value of the subscribed registered capital was almost twice as high, namely EUR 3.970 M compared to EUR 1.736 M in June.
Most foreign-capital companies registered in Bucharest, namely 186, followed by Ilfov (51), Cluj (36), Bihor (25) and Timis (24). There were counties where no foreign-capital companies registered (Covasna, Teleorman, Tuclea and Valcea).
Also worth mentioning is the fact that 636 foreign-capital companies were erased from ONRC’s registries in July. The value of these companies’ subscribed registered capital stood at EUR 41.836 M, lower than the one registered the month before (EUR 58.922 M).
When it comes to the country of origin of the subscribed registered capital, Turkey covered well over half of the total EUR 4 M, namely EUR 2.121 M (53.44 per cent of the total). The top 10 list of countries also includes: China, Denmark, Cyprus, Germany, Italy, Spain, Serbia, Lebanon, Netherlands.
