UK’s Spirit Circuits invests in Craiova

United Kingdom’s Spirit Circuits is preparing an important investment in a printed circuit boards plant in Craiova, Dolj County. The printed circuit boards will be used to equip locomotives, airplanes and most of all automotives.
According to Spirit Circuits representatives, the construction works will last around one year and approximately 260 jobs will be created there in the following years.
“The contract for the purchase of the plot of land was signed on September 2. Our intention is to create 260 new jobs within the Industrial High Tech Park in the next three years. We will build from scratch and we plan to create opportunities for young people to work in this industry. The logistics here in Craiova are perfect for us,” Spirit Circuits Manager Steve Driver stated on Thursday in a press conference held at the Craiova City Hall building.
According to Craiova Mayor Lia Olguta Vasilescu, the company is already engaged in talks in order to rent a hall from one of the local companies in order to use it to train its employees until the actual plant is constructed within the industrial park.
