Delia & Kaira and Smiley gained most trophies at Gala Media Music Awards 2015

Delia featuring Kaira, with the song “Pe aripi de vânt” and Smiley, with the song “Oarecare”, won the most awards at the Gala Media Music Awards 2015, organized on Thursday evening in the Grand Square of Sibiu, in front of over 40,000 viewers, Agerpress announced.
Thus, Delia & Kaira won most awards on categories, five of them, with their hit “Pe aripi de vânt”. The song has gained the highest number of views on YouTube for a Romanian song in the last year (over 25 million) and was also deemed the Best Featuring, Best Pop, Best Video, and was also granted a special trophy for being the song that has spent most time on the top position in music charts (eighteen weeks, which is a record for the last few viewers).
Also, Smiley, with his song “Oarecare”, launched this year at viewers’ request, after initially being composed as a theme song for a commercial, won five awards at the following categories: Fastest Climber (the song that was the fastest to reach the top spot in the charts), Best Male Act, Most Played Song of Summer, and also won the Kiss award and MTV award.
Andra was among the winners, at the categories Fans Like Award and Most Voted Artists, and the rest of the award went to Kazibo — Best Producer, Lariss — Best Debut, Dan Bittman — Best Rock Song (“Si îngerii au demonii lor”), and Cat Music — Best Label.
The marathon performance of over four hours and a half, held on a huge stage with an opening of 60 metres, was hosted by actor Pavel Bartos, a notorious presence of the shows “Romanian Voice” and “Romanians Got Talent”. The over 40,000 viewers (as reported by organizers) who have crowded in the Grand Hall of the Historical Centre of Sibiu have enjoyed recitals held by the most trendy Romanian artists of the moment, the ones who have been enjoyed the highest number of broadcasts by the media in the last few years, but also laser lights shows, huge screens of over 100 square metres and pyrotechnics effects.
The stage was entered by Otilia; Feli; Jo and Randi, Uddi and Nadir; Nicole Cherry; Maxim; Ami; Raluka; DJ Sava; Lariss; Lora; Bere Gratis and Sore; Nicoleta Nuca; Fly Project; Puya; Vescan; Alina Eremia; Mircea Eremia; Doddy; Mellina; Sore; What’s Up; Andreea Balan; Lidia Buble & Akcent; Corina; Elena Gheorghe; Alex Velea; Naguale; Shift; Voltaj; Holograf; Smiley; Delia & Kaira.
Gala Media Music Awards, presently at the fourth edition organized in Sibiu, will reach a new international level next year, according to organizers.
The Media Music Awards trophies are granted in a transparent and undoubted manner, based on media broadcasts during September 1, 2014 – August 30, 2015. The statistics are calculated by Media Forest, the company that identifies and monitors radio and TV appearances in real time.
