President to address Parliament on September 16

The joint Standing Bureaus of the Chamber of Deputies and of the Senate approved on Wednesday President Klas Iohannis’ request to address the Parliament on September 16, at 11am.

On Friday, the President wrote to Senate Speaker Calin Popescu-Tariceanu and to Chamber of Deputies Speaker Valeriu Zgonea announcing he wishes to address the joint chambers of the Parliament on September 16.

”In compliance with provisions of Article 88 of the Romanian Constitution, republished, I wish to extend the Parliament a message. I propose that the date for presenting the message in the joint meeting of the two chambers to be September 16, 2015, 11.00 am. Please accept my full consideration,” the president’s letter reads.
