ANAF vice-president tenders resignation to PM Ponta

The Vice-President of the National Agency for Fiscal Administration (ANAF) Romeo Nicolae (photo C), has tendered his resignation form office to Prime Minister Victor Ponta.
‘I, the undersigned, Romeo Nicolae Florin, appointed by decision (…) as Vice-President with a rank of sub-secretary of state, of the National Agency for Fiscal Administration, co-ordinator of the Fiscal Anti-fraud Directorate General, having in view the context of my association with a criminal case dealt with by the National Anticorruption Department, hereby present my resignation of honour’, reads the document sent by Romeo Nicolae to PM V. Ponta.
He reassured the prime-minister that he had never committed criminal offences’, Agerpres informs.
ANAF Vice-President Romeo-Florin Nicolae, placed under a probation order by DNA Ploiesti in an influence peddling affair, is also subject to a ban from not leaving the country, holding, using or carrying weapons and engaging in activities as an ANAF worker during the preventive measure.
