Over 260 companies from 9 countries at International Agriculture Fair in Arad

260 livestock companies and farmers from 9 countries – Hungary, Germany, Austria, Italy, Slovenia, Spain, Poland, Serbia and Romania – will present their offer of products and services at the AGROMALIM International Agriculture, Food Industry and Packaging Fair. The event takes place on September 10-13 and is organized by Arad County’s Chamber of Industry and Agriculture.
Compared to last year’s edition, this year’s edition of the Agromalim Fair registers a 40 per cent growth in the space dedicated to farming vehicles and equipment. That space now covers 4,500 square meters indoors and 30,000 square meters outdoors, the Expo Arad Centre basically having an occupancy rate of 100 per cent.
This year’s edition will propose a modern approach centring mainly on development opportunities. The international business meetings that will be organized will give participants the chance to create new contacts for collaboration in the country or abroad. Conferences will be organized throughout the fair, tackling the measures included in National Rural Development Plan 2014-2020 as well as other forms of support for farmers based on various national and European financing and agriculture support programmes.
On September 12 and 13, the events will be dedicated to livestock farmers. During this year’s edition, the Exhibition of Pure-bred Livestock will present, throughout the fair, cattle, sheep and goats brought by the members of livestock breeders’ associations, with the emphasis on beef cattle breeds.
At the same time, the associations will hold meetings and the best animals exhibited will receive prizes (Saturday) and awards (Sunday). Also on Sunday, the Miss Arad title will be awarded to the most valuable Baltata Romaneasca cow and the champion of the Holstein breed will be selected. Horses and hobby animals will also be among the attractions.
