Carmen Iohannis, selfie with pupils

Carmen Iohannis cut a dash at the school opening festivity at the ‘Gheorghe Lazar’ National College in Sibiu where she will have a part time teaching job this year.
Carmen Iohannis was offered huge bouquets of flowers. The wife of the president made a selfie with her pupils before heading to the classroom.
Hundreds of pupils from the Collage attended the festivity where Carmen Iohannis was standing in the first row, next to the Principle, Gabriel Begrea. The first lady spoke about the new school year, one ‘full of hope’, as she called it. ‘A new year full of hope is beginning. I hope it will be a very good year and we fulfil all our plans and keep being joyful. As joy characterises the young generation, we should all be characterised by joy during this year’, Carmen Iohannis said.
Right after the ceremony, Carmen Iohannis joined her pupils who were eagerly waiting for her with flowers. Carmen Iohannis embraced her pupils, took a selfie with them and said they were the reason for which she had decided to keep teaching in Sibiu. The pupils, in their turn, say they are honoured to have Mrs. Iohannis as their head-teacher, as she had always been there for them. ‘Given the amount of responsibilities she has, it’s both an honour and a big joy that she is making time for us, too. She is a lovely person’, her pupils said. Regarding the selfie the first lady had with her pupils, they said ‘she is a modern lady. It is not the first and we don’t think it will be the last selfie either’, the pupils said, according to libertatea.ro.
