Romania’s Supreme Defence Council (CSAT) will tackle at its meeting on Thursday such topics as the defence and public security strategies and possible measures for the management of the situation created by the immigrants having arrived in Europe.
According to a release of the Presidential Administration to Agerpres on Wednesday, the agenda of the sitting to be chaired by Romanian President Klaus Iohannis will feature the implementation plan of the National Strategy for the Country’s Defence for 2015-2019; the intensified immigration phenomenon at Romania’s border – measures meant to manage the situation; the Defence White Paper; the National Strategy for Public Order and Security 2015-2020.
Other matters of interest for the national security will be addressed at the meeting. At the end of the Council sitting, the head of state will make a press statement, the release announced.
