Lendia, first online platform for personalized loan offers

* A start-up created by 4 young entrepreneurs – 2 Romanians and 2 Swedes

Lendia, the first online platform for personalized loan offers in Romania plans to ease the way in which physical persons apply for loan offers, by offering a loan intermediation platform. Two of the country’s important banks are already connected to the platform: Alpha Bank and Credit Agricole Bank Romania, the founders being already engaged in advanced talks with other top banks.
Lendia co-founder and CEO Gustaf Kornias (30), a Swede who has been living in Romania for a year now in order to set up Lendia, states: “To find out which bank is able to give you the best loan offer can be a difficult and lengthy process in which clients run from one bank to the next in order to find out each of their offers. Lendia wants to ease this process and eliminate trips to the bank, through an online solution that brings the banks to the users. Moreover, since loan offers can vary a lot from one bank to another, finding the best offer through our transparent service can help Lendia clients save time and money.”
By connecting partner banks to the website, Lendia puts at its clients’ disposal a free, independent and easy to use online solution in order for them to receive loan offers. The application for loan offers is made online, takes just a few minutes to fill in and does not entail any kind of obligations. Once registered, the request will be automatically transmitted to partner banks. Users will receive personalized loan offers directly from the banks within 24 hours and will be notified by email and SMS as soon as each offer arrives. By registering a secure account, the user can easily compare offers and select the most suitable one. After the client accepts one of the offers he will be contacted by a bank officer in order to set up a meeting at the nearest agency and sign the contract.
The contract is signed by the client and the bank, Lendia being only an intermediary in this process. Lendia does not demand any fees from users and offers full transparency – the offers are made directly by the banks and compared directly by users. The simplicity of this model consists of the fact that it substitutes the long hours spent in banks in order to obtain loan offers.
Users can apply for a consumer loan (with or without mortgage), mortgage loan, First House loans or refinancing of real-estate loans. In the upcoming period Lendia will include additional financial services on its platform.
The uniqueness and novelty that Lendia brings to Romania is the fact that in contrast to already existing loan comparison services through which standard loans can be compared, on the Lendia platform the user compares personalized loan offers created by bank officers following the analysis of each applicant’s financial situation.
