Cuisine feast at the second edition of Fete de la Gastronomie

The second edition of Fete de la Gastronomie, a series of events that celebrate French cuisine, will be organized during September 24 – 28 in Bucharest by the French Embassy to Romania, the French Chamber of Trade and Industry in Romania, the French Institute of Romania and Business France, as well as their partners.
The launch of the event will take place in the presence of His Excellence, Mr. Francois Saint-Paul, French Ambassador to Romania, and will be attended by Mr. Olivier Cadic, Senator for the French living abroad and two of the special guests: Chef Simone Zanoni, from the “Gordon Ramsay Au Trianon” restaurant in Versailles, rated two Michelin stars and his assistant Giacomo Seregni.
On the occasion of Fete de la Gastronomie 2015, Romania will be also visited by sommelier John Euvrard, who had been Paul Bocuse’s prime sommelier for 15 years was selected sommelier of the year in 2007, in France.
Thirty-one restaurants, hotels, wine bars, bakeries, hypermarkets and a book store are celebrating gastronomy during September 25 – 28, by offering French brunches, wine tasting, oenology workshops, offers for French products at retail stores and personally adapted menus in restaurants.
Moreover, the French Institute in Romania will open its gates on Saturday, September 27, and will propose interactive activities for children and tasting of French dishes.
A special food shows, due to be attended by several Romanian chefs, as well as by special guest Simone Zanoni will be held at Metro Gastronomy Competence Center on Thursday, September 24, at 9 AM.
Under the circumstances that Paris will host, during November 30 – December 11, 2015, the 21st UNO Conference dedicated to climate changes – Paris Climat 2015 – the French Embassy and its partners organize on Sunday, September 27, starting at 11 AM, a round table dedicated to food waste and new ways of production and consumption entitled “Paris Climat 2015: Responsible Consumption From Agriculture to Gastronomy. How To Be Creative?” The guests of this debate are His Excellence Mr. Francois Saint-Paul, French Ambassador to Romania, Ms. Viorica Boboc, High Adviser in the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Ms. Lavinia Andrei, President of the NGO “Terra Mileniul III”, Ms. Raluca Ouriaghli, Executive Manager of “Workshops Without Borders” and Mr. Laurentiu Cernat, representative of the NGO “Urban Community Gardens.”
