Social Democrat Party (PSD) Chairman of Bucharest District 4 chapter Nicolae Banicioiu, the incumbent health minister, has confirmed to Agerpres that he resigned from leadership.
He also said he does not want to be part of the team of the Bucharest PSD branch chairman, Robert Negoita. ”I do not want to be a member on the team led by Robert Negoita,” said Banicioiu.
Political sources told Agerpres that PSD Bucharest Chairman Robert Negoita allegedly offered Banicioiu the executive chairmanship of the PSD Bucharest.
The PSD Bucharest Council convened on Wednesday to elect the composition of the new Standing Bureau.
According to the new composition of PSD Bucharest leadership, elected to the offices of PSD Bucharest deputy chairs were Rodica Nassar (PSD District 2 leader); Ioan Mihalcea (PSD District 3 leader); Cristian Rizea (PSD District 5 leader) and Gabriel Mutu (PSD District 6 leader). PSD District 1 Chairman Dan Tudorache became the PSD Bucharest executive chairman, while Constantin Mitache was elected executive secretary of the organisation.
