ARTS & LEISURE THEATERS

Season begins at TNB Grand Hall

The reopening of the Grand Hall of the National Theatre, held recently, offers theatre fans an opportunity to see, or to see one more time performances such as “The Tempest”, “The Dinner Game”, “All My Sons” and “The Visit”. We may enjoy performances fitting the amplitude of this massive stage, that provides the proper frame for famous names of international theatre, generous ideas and feelings, and the greatest literature of all times.
Powerful dramas and sparkling comedies, starring highly successful casts, coordinated by inspired directors, await you in the newest and most gigantic restored hall of the “I. L. Caragiale” National Theatre in Bucharest.
Starting on September 30, 2015, the program of the theatre will include a remake of “All My Sons” by Arthur Miller, directed by Ion Caramitru, with a stage design by Dragos Buhagiar, organizers announced.
The performance “The Visit”, starring Maia Morgenstern in the lead role, returns to this stage starting on October 9.
The elegant Grand Hall of the National Theatre in Bucharest will add to its program, until the end of the year, another referential title in world theatre, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” by William Shakespeare, a performance rehearsed these days by maestro Petrica Ionescu with a promising cast.
