President Iohannis, among the guests of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe at a dinner on Saturday

President Klaus Iohannis was among the guests of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe at a dinner on Saturday in New York, under the promotion campaign for the ‘Impact 10x10x10 for Women’s Empowerment’ project.

The event aimed at bring together women’s rights supporters – 10 political leaders, 10 corporation heads, and 10 academic personalities.

According to Romania’s Presidential Administration, the participants in the ‘HeForShe’ world campaign – heads of state and government – launched an appeal against gender-based discrimination.

“Within this framework, President Klaus Iohannis restated Romania’s firm commitment to fight for the global implementation of human rights, including by enforcing all the legal instruments to eliminate gender discrimination,” the Administration mentioned.
