Marius Mihalache Band, in Brussels

Marius Mihalache Band has performed on the stage of the Fine Arts Palace in Brussels on September 27, at a series of cultural events organized with the support of the Romanian Cultural Institute in Brussels.
Artist Marius Mihalache is one of the best known Romanian cymbal players, having performed on some of the most prestigious stages in Europe and all over the world.
Acknowledged for his originality in performing various jazz, jazz-rock, ethno-jazz și folklore scores on cymbal, the musician successfully managed to impose cymbal even in grand classical music orchestras. Marius Mihalache is also a composer, having signed the soundtrack of numerous Romanian films: Asphalt Tango (1995), Philanthropic (2002), The Bastards (2007), etc.
On the Bozar stage in Brussels, the artist was accompanied by his son Florin Mihalache (drums), Arabela Nicolau (vocals), Nicolae Baran (bass), Constantin Mirea (violin) and Gabriel Brutaru (guitar).
The concert was part of a series of cultural events organized under the patronage of actor and Euro-Deputy Mircea Diaconu, including two theatre performances produced by the C. Nottara Theatre in Bucharest, “April, Morning” by Mihai Ispirescu and “Matrimoniale Ads” by Lia Bugnar.
