The National Tax Administration Agency (ANAF) collected Government revenues of nearly RON 146.58 billion in the first nine months of 2015, up RON 10.6 billion from the similar period of 2014, with the social security revenues being the only fund where the collections were falling.
“Out of the extra RON 10.6 billion collected, additional Value Added-Tax (VAT) revenues were RON 4.75 billion, which is a 12.52-percent year-over-year nominal increase, which exceeded the nine-month economic growth. The difference, resulting by eliminating the impact of economic growth is the direct and exclusive outcome of the fight against tax evasion,” ANAF reported in a press statement released on Monday.
ANAF says more than RON 102.88 billion was collected to the national budget, almost RON 11 billion, or 11.95 percent in nominal terms, more than in the same period of the year before, as a result of an overall increase by almost 7 percent in tax returns.
The revenue collected for the social security budget dwindled by 8.14 percent (RON 26.72 billion), negatively influenced by a 5-percent cut in the social security contributions (CAS) owed by the employers and an increase in the contributions paid into Pillar II pension fund following an increase of the contribution from 4.5 percent in 2014 to 5 percent in 2015.
ANAF says that against the revised programme of collected revenue, the realisation rate was 100.81 percent, Agerpres informs.
