Hidroelectrica puts up for sale 31 hydropower micro-plants at 20 pc discount

Hidroelectrica is putting up for sale 31 hydropower micro-plants at a discount of 20 per cent, their installed capacity totalling 25.7 MW, a communiqué remitted by the company shows.
“Hidroelectrica is putting up for sale, in open call tenders that will take place on November 23-26, 31 hydropower micro-plants with a total installed capacity of 25.7 MW and a project energy of 77.79 GWh, at the lowest price, in line with the Creditors’ Assembly approval issued on September 29. While the 31 hydropower micro-plants were put up for sale in previous tenders for the sum of RON 83.2 M, in the November tenders their sale value has dropped to approximately RON 70 M, in other words a discount of RON 13 M,” the document shows.
The assets put up for sale are organized in 22 packages and are located in 13 counties: Suceava, Brasov, Hunedoara, Neamt, Sibiu, Valcea, Maramures, Arad, Arges, Buzau, Timis, Vrancea and Bacau.
The presentation files related to each asset package can be procured by November 13, from Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., from Hidroelectrica’s headquarters. In order to take part in the tender, the bidders will have to file their participation documents in sealed envelopes by November 13 at 3 p.m. The envelopes will be opened on November 16-19.
Hidroelectrica is thus implementing a new stage in the process of selling hydropower micro-plants, a process that started in June 2013 as a result of a decision taken by its trustee in bankruptcy. 28 hydropower micro-plants have been sold so far, for RON 79.6 M (approximately EUR 18 M).
