Turnover of industry, up 2.7pc eight months into 2015

The total turnover in industry, rose, in nominal terms, by 2.7pc in the first eight months of 2015 year-on-year, according to the data released on Wednesday by the National Institute of Statistics (INS).
The higher turnover of industry was based on the 2.9 pc advance of the processing industry (+2.9pc).
By main industrial groups, increases in turnover were seen by the capital goods industry (+8.1pc), the durables industry (+6pc), the intermediate goods industry (+4.4pc) and the consumer goods industry (+2.1pc). Decreases were recorded in the energy industry (-19.6p).
In August 2015, the total turnover in industry dropped by 15.4pc from the previous month, due to the decrease in the processing industry (-15.8pc). The mining industry rose by 0.5pc.
