Romanian tourist destinations such as the cultural circuits in Transylvania and Bucovina, city break, rural tourism and nature retreats, active tourism, adventure and spa tourism are being promoted at the 52nd edition of the exhibition TTG Incontri held in Rimini, Italy, October 8-10.
The National Authority for Tourism (ANT) is participating in the TTG Incontri fair with a stand representing 14 companies from the tourism industry, the largest number of tour operators in the history of Romania’s participation in this fair, a statement published on the website of the institution informs. TTG Incontri is Italy’s largest tourism fair.
“Italy is one of the main markets for Romania in particular for cultural tourism, city break, rural and nature escapes, which generates substantial annual business and leisure flows. In H1, 2015 there were 144,000 arrivals of Italian citizens at border crossings points, according to data released by the National Statistics Institute (INS). The Italian market is ranked second among the countries that generate tourism to Romania according to the number of tourists registered in the accommodation units; the first seven months of 2015 saw a year-on-year increase of 15pct in the number of arrivals of Italian citizens in the Romanian accommodation structures,” reads the statement posted on the ANT website .
Furthermore, the exhibitors at the Romanian stand are proposing several offers for Halloween and the upcoming winter holidays, as well as for the next holiday season. The visitors stopping by the Romanian stand can sample Romanian food and wines and they will receive promotional objects related to Romania’s tourist brand.
