Beaches around Constanta strengthened by Dutch company

The Ambassador of the Netherlands in Romania Stella Ronner-Grubačić, together with Economic and Commercial Counsellor Huub Drabbe, paid on Wednesday a visit to Constanta. After official courtesy visits at the Constanta City Hall, where she was welcomed by interim Mayor Decebal Făgădău, and at the Constanta Port Administration, where she met among others General Director Valeriu Ionescu, the Dutch Ambassador visited two large infrastructure projects executed by Dutch company Van Oord. The Extension of the Northern Breakwater in the Port of Constanta is of extreme importance for the safety in port and considered to be crucial for its further development. Through the works executed within the project Protection and Rehabilitation of the Black Sea Coastline the beaches will be rehabilitated and extended, Romania’s territory gaining 33 hectares of beach.
