Germany’s Dalli Group resumes production of detergents at Timisoara plant

Germany’s Dalli Group has resumed the production of detergents at the Timisoara plant it took over from Procter&Gamble (P&G), after the parties signed a multiannual supply agreement that concerns the products made in Timisoara.
In November 2014, Dalli and P&G signed an agreement concerning the takeover of the Timisoara plant, zf.ro writes. The agreement stipulated the takeover of the plant and of the assets used in the production of detergent for laundry and dish washing, as well as the transfer of 200 employees to Dalli Group. Also part of the agreement was the signing of a multi-annual supply contract between Dalli Group and P&G for the products made in Timisoara, agreement that was signed in September 2015.
“The takeover allows us to support the expansion of our current retail clients under the aegis of private brands, particularly discount stores and druggist’s stores in Central and Eastern Europe and to strategically position ourselves on a market with growth potential,” Dalli Group CEO Markus Kessler stated.
Dalli Group is present at European level in the home cleaning and personal care sector, making products mainly for private retail brands and brand producers and owning several plants in Germany, Netherlands and Austria.
