Jerzy Stuhr, special guest to Comedy Cluj Festival

The greatest themed festival dedicated to comedy films in Europe, presently at the seventh edition, will take place in Cluj-Napoca from October 16 to 25.
Jerzy Stuhr, known to the Romanian viewers mostly due to his collaborations with the famous director Krzysztof Kieslowski, is one of the special guests of the festival. He will be at Cluj as actor and director with his latest film, “The Citizen” (Obywatel, 2014).
The latest film by director Thomas Ciulei, the Romanian – German co-production “2+2” will be screened for the first time at the seventh edition of the Cluj International Comedy Film Festival, although the director had decided at one time that neither his films, nor his father’s works would ever be presented in Romania.
“Filmmaker Thomas Ciulei’s latest film, “2+2”, a Romanian – German co-production of 2013, will be presented one time at a Romanian cinema theatre, during this festival. The screening will occur this Saturday, at “Florin Piersic” Cinema. It is Thomas Ciulei’s first fiction film after having written the script and composed the soundtrack. The screening will be held in the presence of the team and of director Thomas Ciulei, who will discuss his work with the audience”, Horatiu Dan declared.
According to the latter, the film “2+2” explores the “unlucky” adventures of two friends, an actor and a director living in an imaginary country, Miranda, under a bankrupt dictatorship.
