Castle Pelisor, closed until the end of the month for preservation. Peles to be closed in November.

Castle Pelisor in Prahova County mountain resort Sinaia will be closed until the end of the monrhs for cleaning and preventive preservation works. Castle Peles is next to be closed for the same purposes, in November.

Daniela Voitescu, Head of the Public Relations Department at Peles National Museum declared on Wednesday for Agerpres that Pelisor will be unavailable for visits until the end of the ongoing month, and during this interval, cleaning and preservation works will be performed, and specialists will also check the states of the works included in the permanent exhibition, selecting those in need of restoration.

“These works are performed annually, since 1993, when Castle Pelisor was rearranged from being a creation house for Romanian writers and artists into a museum. After the reopening of this castle, there will be an interval during November 3 – 30, for Peles Castle to be closed for similar reasons. November was selected because it was noted that it was a month of less visitors”, Voitescu mentioned.

Peles Castle, opened at the time to the audience, may be visited on Wednesdays, during 11.00 am – 4:15 pm and on Thursdays to Sundays, during 9.15 am – 4.15 pm. It is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
