Tenor Teodor Ilincai and conductor Tiberiu Soare will be present on the stage of the Romanian Athenaeum on Sunday, as part of the eighth edition of the Royal Charity Concert destined to celebrate King Michael I’s birthday, according to the announcement made by the Foundation “Princess Margaret of Romania”.
The Orchestra of the Foundation “Princess Margaret of Romania”, conducted by Tiberiu Soare, will perform, in the presence of the Royal Family of Romania, an outstanding concert in the benefit of the “Young Talents” program.
The concert will be started by cellists Izabela Ghergu and Cornelius Zirbo, two young artists who had won competitions, national and international Olympic contests, and who were provided scholarships by the Foundation. They will perform “Concert for Two Cellos in G Minor”, RV531 by Antonio Vivaldi.
Besides the well known tenor Teodor Ilincai, singers vor interpreta arii și canțonete din opere celebre soliștii Diana Alexe, Daniela Popescu, Larisa Stefan, Martiniana Antonie and George Virban, also supported by grants of the “Young Talent” program, will perform arias and canzonets from famous operas.
The quoted source points out that funds collected this way will support the 2016 edition of the “Young Talent” national program. The most promising young Romanian artists performing in the fields of classical music and visual arts, at the beginning of their career and unable to study further due to financial reasons, will receive scholarships, mentoring and opportunities for promotion.
The program “Young Talent” is acknowledged as Romania’s best program of art and culture, a winner at the Civil Society Gala in 2013 and 2015. In the last few years, over 200 young visual artists and musicians who managed to achieve outstanding performances with the support of the foundation.
