Mitzura Arghezi dies at 90

Daughter of late poet Tudor Arghezi, Mitzura, died on Tuesday aged 90 years, literary critic Eugen Simion told Agerpres.

Mitzura Domnica Arghezi was born on December 10, 1924 in Bucharest. She won a seat in the Chamber of Deputies twice, in the 1996-2000 and the 2000-2004 legislatures on the tickets of the Greater Romania Party (PRM). In 2005-2010 she was a member on the administration board of the Romanian National Radio Broadcasting Corporation on behalf of PRM.

Mitzura Arghezi is also known as an actress, having starred in more than 100 stage plays and 18 films.
