Teodor Stelian who owns a security company was at DNA Ploiesti on Wednesday, where he had been summoned as a suspect in the DNA case. Agerpres quotes sources as saying that the investigators have changed his capacity in the case form witness to suspect.
Ever since September, Apa Nova has been at the centre of a corruption scandal involving several persons from the Bucharest Municipality.
The prosecutors have also found out that the company had set up a private intelligence agency to protect itself against the prosecutors. The members of the department were monitoring people and intercepting communications in order to make sure the employees did not disclose details on the illegal activities of the persons on the management. Apa Nova had an agreement with Teodor Stelian’s security company in that respect.
