Romanians revolt against official convoys : President’s car horned at in traffic for minutes

Spontaneous protest took place in Bucharest on Wednesday, when the traffic was stopped to let President Klaus Iohannis’ official convoy pas. The president went to Romexpo in the morning, to visit the Indagra trade show. When the presidential convoy drove into the Presei Square, the motorists who were waiting to drive on started to horn.
The incident follows the revolt of the public after the policeman Bogdan Gigina lost his life while opening the way for the official convoy of Interior Minister Gabriel Oprea.
The president of the country is among the officials who, under the law, may use official convoys, alongside the prime-minister and the heads of the two chambers of the Parliament.
