Basescu: Delay in appointing PM only serves to prolong political crisis

Traian Basescu believes that a delay in appointing a Premier would only serve to prolong the political crisis in Romania and suggests that President Klaus Iohannis should have appointed a Premier to replace Victor Ponta as early as Thursday.
Traian Basescu wrote on Facebook that Romanian society is extremely tense and in order not to prolong this crisis Klaus Iohannis should consult the parties as fast as possible and should appoint a Premier.
Paraphrasing Klaus Iohannis, Basescu stated that he agrees that things have to be done “step by step,” but sometimes “the steps have to be taken very quickly.”
