Hungarian Film Week in Bucharest

Balassi Institute – The Hungarian Institute in Bucharest organizes during November 9 – 15, 2015, the ninth edition of the Bucharest gala of Hungarian films, Hungarian Film Week in Bucharest. The event provides a synthesis of the production of Hungarian films in the last year, presenting the variety and spirituality of contemporary Hungarian cinema.

In this spirit, during the Hungarian Film Week, a special attention will be granted to young directions, during the screenings of award winning films worthy to reconfirm the cultural value of Hungarian cinema. The year 2015 is a celebration of a century of successful Hungarian cinema and, on this occasion, the festival offers the audience a series of programs dedicated to this genre: film screenings, workshops, live animations, an exhibition and a jazz concert.

Just like the previous editions, the Hungarian Film Week in Bucharest will be held this year as well at the National Museum of the Romanian Peasant, at Horia Bernea Studio, on 3 Monetariei Street.

The entrance is free.

Films are subtitled in Romanian or in English.

The detailed program of the ninth edition of the Hungarian Film Week in Bucharest may be seen on the website www.ccu.ro.
