Interim PM thanks foreign partners for solidarity and support after Colectiv club tragedy

Interim Prime Minister Sorin Cimpeanu on Monday evening met heads of diplomatic missions in Bucharest of European Union member states, US and Canada, the Government’s Press Office informs.

According to the source, Cimpeanu thanked for the solidarity which the foreign partners showed Romania and for all the support granted to the sufferers, especially for ensuring specialist treatment.

“During the meeting, the main actions conducted by the authorities of Romania in support of the persons who suffered in the aftermath of the tragic event at Colectiv club were unveiled, along with the current situation of those hospitalised in Romania and of those who were transferred for treatment abroad. They also discussed further support possibilities that the foreign partners can provide, the concrete means by which such support can be granted in the most efficient and coordinate manner possible to the sufferers,” the release also shows.

Also attending the meeting were Foreign Affairs Minister Bogdan Aurescu, Health Minister Nicolae Banicioiu and Interior Ministry Secretary of State Raed Arafat.
