Vodafone Romania registered a total number of 9.053 million clients on September 30 this year, up by 546,371 year-on-year, and over 8.432 million users of mobile services, the company’s financial results show.
Subscribers represented 40.7 per cent of Vodafone’s clients, while users of Vodafone SIM Cards represented 59.3 per cent. The number of users of prepaid services has grown by 0.8 percentage points year-on-year.
The consumption of mobile data grew by 135.6 per cent year-on-year in the quarter that ended on September 30.
“The smartphones’ penetration rate among users has grown by 7 percentage points year-on-year in the quarter that ended on September 30. Smartphone sales have grown by 63 per cent year-on-year,” the company’s communiqué reads.
“Of the total number of clients, 8,432,970 are users of mobile services. Vodafone Romania’s average revenue per user (ARPU) reached EUR 6.2 in the quarter that ended on September 30. Service revenue reached EUR 172.9 M in the quarter that ended on September 30, up by 4 per cent year-on-year in organic terms. On September 30, subscribers to Vodafone services represented 40.7 per cent of the client base, while users of Vodafone SIM Cards represented 59.3 per cent,” a company communiqué reads.
Vodafone Romania is a division of Vodafone Group Plc., one of the biggest mobile telecommunications groups in the world. The company offers a range of services that includes voice, messages, data and landline communication services. Vodafone Romania reports its financial results in relation to the British fiscal year, which starts on April 1 and ends on March 31. The results reported on Tuesday correspond to the first quarter of the 2015-2016 fiscal year, the company points out.
