The Chamber of Deputies adopted on Wednesday by articles the Bill on Ordinance No. 35/2015 whereby the wages of the health personnel go up by 25 percent and those of public sector employees increase by 10 percent.
The Chamber of Deputies’ Labor and Health Committees adopted on Tuesday in a joint sitting an amendment to this ordinance, which referred only to the personnel of the public health system, according to which public sector wages were to go up by 10 percent as of December 1.
The Liberal deputies requested in the plenary meeting that the bill be sent back to the expert committees for talks to be held with the Ministry of Finance, who should confirm that this increase is indeed sustainable.
Ordinance No. 35/2015 provides that, as of October 1, 2015, by exception from Para. (1), the gross base pays/ military base pays/new hire pays for the healthcare personnel, of the staff of the National Institute for Medical Expertise and Work Capacity Recovery, and of the medical expertise services reporting to the territorial pension offices shall rise by 25 percent from the amount of September 2015.
