CIMA strengthens its presence in Romania through partnership with ASE

The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), the world’s largest professional body of management accountants, strengthens its presence in Romania by sealing a strategic partnership with the Bucharest University of Economic Studies (ASE), the largest and leading Romanian university in higher economic education.

As a result of this partnership, starting this academic year, students from ASE will have an opportunity to acquire CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting and CIMA Diploma in Management Accounting at the same time with the BA and MA degrees from the university. As such, students who will obtain a BA degree from the Faculty of Accounting and Management Information Systems will be exempt from four CIMA exams and will be awarded the Certificate in Business Accounting after passing the CIMA exam “Fundamentals of Ethics, Corporate Governance and Law”. Also, students attending the Accounting and Finance Techniques for Business Management master program at the Faculty of Accounting and Management Information Systems will be exempt from three CIMA exams and will be awarded the Diploma in Management Accounting after passing one case study exam with CIMA.

The CIMA Professional Qualification is one of the most important qualifications in the finance and business world and one of the most valued by employers. Research shows that 87% of employers would pay a premium to have a CIMA member on board and the world’s top 100 brands choose CIMA members.
