Crin Antonescu pictures Dacian Ciolos at helm of PNL

Prime Minister Dacian Ciolos would be able to lead PNL and be a good political leader, former PNL President Crin Antonescu considers. Antonescu stated that he is confident the Ciolos Government would have a good term in office, despite the fact that it is a government of technocrats.

“It’s hard to assess the Ciolos Government two weeks after it was sworn in. I told you what my opinion is, and I did it long ago, it is a favourable opinion. I personally trust Ciolos to be able to have a good term in office as Prime Minister. I trust he will be able, if he wants, to make the transition to being a political leader,” Antonescu stated in an interview for Digi24.

“Concerning the way the government was born, I can tell you the following: it’s a birth against nature, if we are talking about the way in which the government is formed, but political parties, PNL and PSD in particular, are to blame for this. The moment parties abandon the responsibility of governing someone has to govern,” he added.
