PNL’s Alina Gorghiu is not interested to run for the Mayoralty of Bucharest, as “it needs a bomb”

PNL co-chair Alina Gorghiu declared that she did not intend to run for the Mayoralty of Bucharest, but the PNL candidate for this position was fair and honest. The Liberal candidate for Bucharest is Cristian Busoi.

“We have good candidates. I am discontent with some of the candidates to the district Mayoralties in Bucharest; we will not win all of them. The Bucharesters want an honest and fair candidate. We have him. For a long time, PNL did not have such candidates for Bucharest, as far as principles are concerned. We do not intend to rush if we did not find the ideal candidate. I do not want to run for the Mayoralty of Bucharest. I think it is a position of great responsibility, and I would assume any responsibility for PNL, but I think there are some colleagues I already know very well who have all abilities and great competence to manage this position of General Mayor. The heritage is absolutely terrifying at the General Mayoralty; it needs a bomb”, Gorghiu pointed out on Monday evening, in an interview for Realitatea TV.

Asked why Catalin Predoiu was not joining the race for the Mayoralty of Bucharest, Gorghiu replied that Predoiu did not wish to run for this position.

Gorghiu declared that, by overtaking the leadership of the Bucharest Mayoralty, Liberals would see to it that RADET would not stop supplying heat, the Mayoralty would publish their purchase contracts on their websites, so that Bucharesters could track where their money is going and would make sure that Bucharest would not be blocked by the first snowfall.
