President Iohannis wants to address Parliament on December 16, one year into his tenure

President Klaus Iohannis on Friday sent a letter to Parliament’s leadership requesting to address the Legislature a message on the occasion of the one year anniversary since he took over the head of state mandate.

“President Klaus Iohannis requests, in accordance with provisions of article 88 of Romania’s Constitution, to address Parliament a message on the occasion of the anniversary of one year in office, in the joint session of the two Chambers of December 16, this year, at 11,00hrs,” reads the letter sent to the chairs of the two Parliament Chambers, Calin Popescu-Tariceanu and Valeriu Zgonea.

President Klaus Iohannis took over the head of state mandate on December 21, 2014.
