Selah Sue returns to Bucharest

On December 15, Selah Sue returns to Bucharest besides her live band, for an electrifying performance at Beraria H.

Selah Sue is a Belgian musician and songwriter. Her debut album, Selah Sue (2011) was a major success, selling over 720,000 copies in Europe. In 2011, she has had chart success with the hit singles “Raggamuffin”, “Crazy Vibes” and “This World”. In 2011, Selah Sue won an European Border Breakers Award (EBBA).

On 28 August 2012, her debut album was also released in the United States, where the album received positive reviews. More than 400,000 downloads were counted in one week.
Besides Selah Sue, the stage will be entered as well by Tony Baboon, starting at 9:30 PM. The access to the premises will start at 8 PM, and Selah Sue accompanied by her band will start their show at 10:30, organizers announced.

Tony Baboon is a solo project by Adrian Carciova that appeared in 2013 nonetheless his route in music started in 2000. The main topic approached by Tony’s music is nature, as the unique supreme real entity we are provided access to. What Tony intends to achieve by his music is an entire Performance Act, one he named Tropical Jazz.

Thus, the message is transmitted through several music genres; it starts with a waltz, then it passes unexpectedly easy through reggae, acoustic trip-hop, psychedelic pop, Oriental-influence rock and rap. All of these styles are filtered through well selectic theme range, freedom of expression found in jazz music, rap rhythmics and African grooves.

Tony has besides him Mihai Balabas on guitar and Daniel Iliescu on drums. They performed together in the opening for artists such as Selah Sue or Skarra Mucci, and they were selected in 2015 to represent Romania at Sziget Festival, winner of Best Major European Festival in 2012 and 2014.
