Former members of Dire Straits return for two new concerts in Romania

“The Dire Straits Experience Tour” due on March 19 in Timisoara, at Banatul Philharmonic and on March 20 in Bucharest, at the Palace Hall.

After the success registered by the band in Romania, in 2013, Chris White and Chris Whitten, the drummer of the last Dire Straits tour held during 1991-1992, Paddy Milner, Terence Reise, Tim Walters and Michael Feat return to perform two fabulous concerts: on March 19 in Timisoara, at Banatul Philharmonic and on March 20 in Bucharest, at the Palace Hall.

Over 35 years after the world heard for the first time the song “Sultans of Swing”, Chris White, accompanied by the other six musicians of worldwide fame, will perform live some of the best known hits by the band Dire Straits, such as “Sultans of Swings”, “Your Latest Trick”, “Tunnels of Love”, “Money for Nothing”, “Brothers in Arms” or “Romeo and Juliet” and many more.

After the band Dire Straits enjoyed tremendous success for 15 years, they split in 1996. Nonetheless, the songs of the band are still performed live all over the world due to the project “The Straits” that recently started performing under the name “The Dire Straits Experience”.

All the seven members of the tribute band are part of the elite of the music industry, having individually worked with artists such as Paul McCartney, Joe Cocker, Ray Charles, David Bowie, Tina Turner, Rod Stewart, Van Morrison, David Gilmour and even Mark Knopfler.

Quality music enthusiasts will enjoy the immortal hits of the band Dire Straits and they will be definitely pleasantly surprised by the rich sound of the band in this formula.
