Tax authority’s “Cristal” operation: 3,941 taxpayers verified, fines worth 24.7 ml lei ordered

Under the “Cristal” operation that ran between October 19 and December 20, 2015, the National Agency for Fiscal Administration (ANAF) verified 3,941 taxpayers and slapped 4,311 fines worth a total of 24.7 million lei, ANAF informed on Wednesday in a release to Agerpres.

At the same time, 878 taxpayers were invited to the ANAF seat for detailed checks.

Assets and cash worth a total of almost 15 million lei were seized and precautionary measures were ordered for assets and accounts worth 3.9 million lei.

ANAF also instructed the ban or suspension of activity for 249 companies over failure to have or operate cash registers.
