A commemoration event of the Colectiv fire victims has been scheduled on Wednesday night in front of the Bucharest club.
“As we promised, on 30 of the month, we gather in front of the Colectiv club to commemorate the 63 #beautifulpeople who hurried to leave us. Maybe for a better world, who knows … On December 30, we shall meet at 7pm. Bring a #flower (preferably, white) and a #candle,” sounds the announcement on the Facebook page of the #WeStandTogether volunteers’ group.
Exhibition dedicated to Colectiv club photographers put at Victoria Palace
An exhibition dedicated to the photographers who were in the Colectiv club on the night of the tragic fire that ended up claiming 63 lives was put at the Government’s offices of Victoria Palace, at the entry to the hall where the Romanian executive holds its sittings.
The Dacian Ciolos Cabinet members and representatives of the ministries on Wednesday admired 20 pictures that are on display as part of the exhibition, ahead of the Government’s last meeting this year.
The works signed by Teodora Maftei, Andrada Mihailescu, Roxana Boghian (Shimmaya), Alex Chelba, Catalin Ilinitchi, Claudiu Petre, Cristian Mitroi, Liviu Emil Zaharescu, Mihai Anghel, Miluta Flueras – all professional photographers who were in the Colectiv club on October 30 – remain on display at the Government’s headquarters till the end of the year, as an homage paid to those killed in the devastating fire.
The exhibition was organised by the Ministry for Public Consultation and Civil Dialogue in cooperation with the Association of the Concert Photographers.
